How It Works
Get exact in-game coordinates, calculate the distance, then use the result as your mortar range.
Mark your mortar coordinates
Open the in-game map and right-click where your mortar is located. Select Mark Coordinates. The exact coordinates will appear in chat. Copy them from chat and paste them into Your coordinates above.
Mark the target coordinates
On the map, right-click the location you want to hit and select Mark Coordinates again. Copy those coordinates from chat and paste them into Target coordinates.
Read the calculated range
WardogsMortar automatically calculates the straight-line distance between the two marked coordinates. The large number shown above is your range in meters.
Set the mortar RNG
Use the calculated distance on the left side of the mortar meter, where the display is labeled RNG for range. Match the RNG value to the distance shown by the calculator.
FAQ
Common questions about coordinates and the calculator.
What coordinate format can I paste?
The easiest format is x95.85, y109.08. The parser also accepts labels with
a colon or equals sign, such as X:95.85 Y:109.08 or
x=95.85 y=109.08. If no X/Y labels are present, it will try to use the first
two numbers it finds.
How do I get exact coordinates in WARDOGS?
Open the map, right-click the location you want to measure, and choose Mark Coordinates. The coordinates will appear in chat. Copy the coordinate text from chat and paste it directly into the appropriate box in the calculator.
Where do I use the calculated distance?
Use the calculator result as your mortar range. On the mortar meter, look at the left side for RNG, which stands for range, and match that value to the distance shown by WardogsMortar.
How is the distance calculated?
The calculator uses the Pythagorean theorem: √[(target X − your X)² + (target Y − your Y)²]. Because WARDOGS coordinate units represent meter/100 for this calculator, the result is multiplied by 100 to display distance in meters.
Does the calculator round the result?
Yes. The main distance display is rounded to the nearest whole meter for quick use. The smaller detail line also shows the unrounded calculation.
Are my coordinates uploaded or stored?
No. The coordinate calculation happens locally in your browser. WardogsMortar.com does not intentionally send or store the coordinates you type into the calculator.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The site is responsive and the calculator is designed to work on desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.
Is this an official WARDOGS tool?
No. WardogsMortar.com is an independent, unofficial fan-made utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the creators, developers, or publishers of WARDOGS.
